I worked with another AD at Sky for 3 months at the end of 2008 into 2009 on the redesign of the Sky.com landing page. I was responsible for all of the concepting and hands-on visual design. This modular approach was designed as an illustration of the variety of layouts (based on a simple 4 column grid) that the various Sky content managers have at their disposal. The long page was an idea that had originally come from some earlier work by Sapient. To help the user to avoid lots of scrolling on such a long page I designed 'panel headers' that have 'expand' and collapse' functionality. |
