The Orange.co.uk shop - AKQA For most of 2008 I was working at AKQA, Art Directing and redesigning the Orange.co.uk shop site - CMS driven, CSS build, (working closely with IA and front and back-end developers) utilising the most up-to-date technology and scripting, whilst maintaining high levels of accessibility and usability. It was a huge project and involved extensive templating and designing for unknown future business objectives. I met this challenge with many variations of pages and elements, coupled with design devices to accomomodate possible scenarios... The new 1024px site has only recently gone live, (the old shop was designed and built to fit an 800px browser/screen size) although the new simple, clean, premium look-and-feel and site elements such as buttons and links have been implmented gradually over the past year. |
